Most cannot eat or speak properly, are not allowed to attend school or hold a job, and face very difficult lives filled with shame and isolation, pain and heartache.<\/p>\n<p> &nbsp;<br \/>\nThe Smile Train mission is:<br \/>\n-To provide free cleft surgery for millions of poor children in developing countries.<br \/>\n-To provide free cleft-related training for doctors and medical professionals. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<br \/>\nDr. D\u2019Antonio was a member of The Smile Train Medical Advisory Board from 2000 to 2012 and was a speaker at its inaugural meeting in the People\u2019s Republic of China in 2001.\u00a0 She has been a very active member of The Smile Train and has engaged in many volunteer activities.\u00a0 She was a contributor to the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Smile Train Virtual Surgery Videos Volume 2.
